Outdoor PE Activities・様々な屋内外での活動
NaturePlay — Get Muddy, Grow Happy!
We believe that the best learning often begins where little shoes meet fresh grass and curious fingers dig into cool, squishy earth. That’s why our Outdoor PE program blends NaturePlay adventures with a cheerful motto of “Get Muddy!”—inviting children to climb tree-stump obstacle courses, splash through puddles, and build stick forts that stretch both muscles and imaginations.
Beyond energetic movement, we carve out time for open-air art studios and forest “music corners,” where children paint with natural brushes, turn fallen branches into rhythm sticks, and create stories under the sky. These experiences spark creativity while sharpening spatial awareness, decision-making, and self-confidence.
Every session is carefully overseen by a licensed medical doctor, ensuring that free-spirited play remains both safe and developmentally rich. Parents love that their children return home happily tired, proudly muddy, and brimming with new ideas—proof that body, mind, and heart are all growing together in the most natural classroom of all.
Morning Yoga
Morning Yoga at SkyCrest Gardens
As the weather permits, we will ask all our children to go our garden area to do our morning yoga exercise, and to experience nature’s beauty: The smell of the air, the feel of the wind, the sound of bird.
Montessori education
Montessori education for children aged 1–5 transforms natural curiosity into purposeful exploration by letting each child choose hands-on activities in a beautifully prepared space. Its mission is to grow the whole child—mind, body, and heart—through self-directed work that strengthens language, math, and executive-function skills just as neural pathways are blossoming fastest. Guided by sensorial materials and real-life tasks, young learners build confidence and independence while discovering the joy of mastery. Our curriculum now shines even brighter thanks to a Montessori expert from Australia, whose deep training enriched every lesson with fresh, research-based practices. In multi-age classrooms alive with cooperation and empathy, children inspire one another—and cultivate the lifelong love of learning that parents cherish most.
SkyCrest Japanese Language & Culture Program
At SkyCrest International School, Japanese lessons do far more than teach children to speak and write. Using custom-designed materials, our students build strong literacy, numeracy, and critical-thinking skills while immersing themselves in the living heart of Japanese culture.
-
Cultural Arts in Action – Children compose graceful haiku (俳句), practice disciplined shodō (書道), and explore expressive yomi-kikase reading (読み).
-
SkyCrest Reading – Our curated library ranges from the timeless folktale “The Bamboo Princess” (竹取物語) to world nursery rhymes and thoughtful sayings. By comparing Japanese and global stories, students learn to respect diverse viewpoints and ask the “why” behind every idea—an early gateway to philosophy.
-
Whole-Child Growth – Traditional arts cultivate mindfulness and fine-motor skills, while lively story discussions spark creativity and empathy—qualities prized in any culture.
Life & Science・ライフサイエンス
Life & Science is an original program at SkyCrest International School, where children explore the wonders of life and the excitement of science through hands-on experiments and experiences. Supervised by a medical doctor, this program covers foundational sciences such as chemistry, physics, and biology, as well as applied fields like medicine, engineering, and agriculture. It incorporates cutting-edge content and sometimes even uses tools like microscopes, making learning both fun and educational.
These experiences not only stimulate children's intellectual curiosity but also provide practical knowledge for daily life. More importantly, they lay a crucial foundation for children to excel in various fields around the world in the future. Additionally, the program naturally encourages children to reflect on their own identities, fostering self-awareness. This curriculum helps children understand themselves, respect others, and value teamwork and diversity.
Inquiry-Based Learning
Through inquiry-based learning, children actively engage in their education, developing critical thinking skills. We aim to enhance their intellectual curiosity by providing an environment where they can immerse themselves in various experiences and activities, allowing them to fully express and develop their abilities.
As part of this program, our school offers opportunities for students to visit places like museums, art galleries, farms, and aquariums, where they can deepen their learning while having fun. These hands-on experiences help children explore and enjoy the world around them in a meaningful way.
